Welcome to Clayton Pre-AP Academy!  You are among a fortunate group of students who have the privilege of attending THE BEST middle school in all of Washoe County School District!

Welcome to 7th grade math! I am excited to get to know you! 🙂 Our math department is dedicated to helping you realize your potential as a math student. This year, you will learn many new concepts and review a few you might already know. I am asking you (and expecting you) to work very hard to understand each of the math standards taught in class. This means that you need to ask for help when you don’t understand. I am available everyday at lunch and often before and after school too! You will work harder in math over the next two years at Clayton than you have ever worked before but you will be rewarded when you get to high school and are totally ready to be successful in high school math. 

I am excited to begin your middle school journey with you and to help you grow as mathematicians!

This is your first homework assignment! After you have logged into the blog, please leave a comment below that tells me what is the most exciting thing about being a middle school student!

Welcome to a brand new school year and an exciting year of math exploration. I am excited to share my enthusiasm about math and to help you discover the amazing mathematician inside of you. This year we will work hard together learning new math, reviewing old math, and applying what we know to the real world. This blog will help us keep track of what we are learning and also provide some fun opportunities for you to showcase just how clever and smart you are. Let’s work together to make the next two years of math amazing!

The end of our school year is finally here. It is time to set our sites on new adventures, set new goals and create many more memories. I have enjoyed being your teacher this year and I am looking forward to hearing about the amazing things you will do with your life. Remember you can keep in touch with me and with other Room 2 Alumni through Edmodo.

Each morning we begin our day with a little bit of fitness. If the weather cooperates we jog a few laps but when the weather is not so nice we do Jump Jam. 

Our school participated in the annual Putangitangi competition. They did a great job and it was fabulous to see room 2 students participating as well. Well done to Paige, Sharna and Devin!

To round off Term 3, Room 2 has created a movie around the song Call Me Maybe. It was heaps of fun learning the song and then going out to shoot footage to make the movie with.

Enjoy some pictures from our Year 6 Ski Trip. We had a wonderful day on the mountain and learned heaps about skiing. Thanks to all the parents who joined us on our trip. We couldn’t have done it without you. 🙂
