you should leave 10.52 for the waiter because if you do 52.60 times by 20 and you percent that , you get 10.52.

the total will be 84.16 because if you multiply all the numbers together and then perfect that , you get 84.16

Your tip would be $10.52 because you multiply 52.60 by .20 then to help find the total you add 52.60 an 10.52 which is $63.12 then you multiply that by that 1.08 because that is the tax put in decimal form. The total amount comes to $68.70.

After eating at the restaraunt the total cost before the tax and tip is $52.60. Since I decided to give the waiter a 20% tip Based on my pre-taxed amount I will have to multiply $52.60 by .20. The total amount of tips I will leave for the waiter is $10.52. After I leave the tip I will have to figure out how much the total cost is for the whole meal/ To do so I will have to multiply the amount I left for the tip ($10.52) by the 8% tax. My total cost for my meal will be $84.16.

You should leave the waiter $10.52. I got this by taking 52.60 and multiplying it by 20 and then moving the decimal 4 places because there are 4 total decimal places in the problem.

The total bill amt. will be $67.33. I got this by taking the total amount of the bill with tax and adding the tip amount to it.

  24. February 26th, 2015 at 3:11 pm      Reply walterm2014 Says:

So, let’s answer the first question. So you are suppose to find tip for the waiter, right? Okay, you get the price, which is 52.60 dollars. You multiply it by the percent, which is in a decimal form (0.2). Multiply it and get 10.53. So you’ll leave $10.53 for the waiter. Let’s answer the other question. First, find the total amount with tax. You multiply 52.60 with 1.08 because that’s the formula. Multiply and get 56.808. Round to the nearest cent and get $56.81. Next step, add this to the amount of tip and get 67.34. Therefore you will pay a total amount of $67.34.

  25. February 26th, 2015 at 3:51 pm      Reply kateenaa2014 Says:

You should leave the waiter $10.52 for tip. I got this by turning my percent into a decimal then multipyling by the pre tax amount which is $52.60. to find the tax you turn your percent into a decimal which is 0.08. Then you multiply that by the pre-tax amount to get $4.21.
the total bill will be $67.33. I got this by adding up the tax, tip, and pre tax amount

To venture and discover how much the entire bill shall cost, thee must do the tax equation first: c=p(1+r)

    Whereas the c=52.60
    ‘n r= 0.08

Then, thou shall first add 1 to 0.08 which equals 1.08
Then, thou shall multiply 1.08 by 52.60
Then, thou shall add the tax to the amount of the step before.

Then the adventure must come to a happy ending, for thou has found the amount of your bill! The holy grail of our time!
The amount is, and forever shall be be known as, 67 dollars ‘n 33 cents ! ($67.33)

  30. February 26th, 2015 at 5:42 pm      Reply brandonw2014 Says:

#1. I made the 20% a decimal which equaled 0.20. Then I multiplied 0.20 (tip) by $52.60 (pre tax bill) which equaled a $10.52 tip which I left for the waiter.
#2. To find the total bill I added the pre taxed bill + the tip + tax. I multiplied .08 (8%) by the bill (52.60) to get the tax of $4.21. Then I added $52.60 (bill) + $10.52 (tip) + $4.21 (tax) to get the total bill of $67.33.

The total bill will be $68.16 including tax and tip, the first thing I did was to find the tax, so 52.60 times 1.08 is 56.80, and then I went to find the tip, so the equation was 56.80 times .20 which was 68.16 and that was the total price.

The total amount of money that you will leave for the restaurant is $68.17.

How I got my answer is first I figured out the regular price if you were only going to pay $52.60 and the 8% tax rate. How I did this part was I first figured out the tax rate as a decimal (0.08). Next I defined the variables (p=52.60,r=0.08). Then I used the formula by adding my numbers in (c=p(1+r): c=52.60(1+0.08)). Finally I solved that problem and rounded it down to $56.81

I did the same thing only with the information $56.81 and the 20% tip. I solved the problem and rounded it down to $68.17.

That’s how I got my answer for the total of $68.17 that you would pay the restaurant.

You should leave $10.52 for the waiter because I did 20% and I moved it to places to the left and I got .20 the next thing that I did was that I multiply .20 times 52.60 and I got 10.52then I rounded it and I got $10.52.

The total of the bill including tax will be $56.81 because I multiply $52.60 multiply by 1.08 and my answer is 56.81 without the tip. Then I added 10.52 because that’s how much the tip to the waiter so my answer is $67.33 for the bill including tax and tip.

To find the tip i find 8% of $52.60 so
    52.60 x8/100= 52.60 x .08=$4.21 for the tax

The total with tax and tip is
    $52.60 + $4.21 + $10.52 = $67.33

I would leave $10.52 for the waiter with out tax I got this by changeling 20% into .2 and than muliplying the total of $52.60 by .2 and I got $10.52
To find the total with tax and tip I would find tax first by doing part over whole and percent over 100 . So 8 mulitplied by $52.60 is $420.80 than mulipiled by 100 is $4.20 and $4.20 plus $52.60 and $10.52 is $67.32 . So the total with tax and tip is $67.32

  45. February 28th, 2015 at 10:50 am      Reply jeanettem2014 Says:

so i should leave $64.08 cause i did $52.60 plus $1.08 cause with the 8% you want to make it a decimal and u move the decimal 2 spaces to the left and u get .08 and then u add 1 to it cause that is what u do to solve a problem like this and u get $1.08 so then i multiply it and i get $56.808 witch is $56 and 808 cents and u convert 808 and u get $8.08 using the same strategy , so then i add them up and it is $64.08 so that is what u leave for the waitor

ok so then, including the tax and tip u get $84.96 cause u get the $68.08 and u times it by $1.20 cause , 20% as a decimal is .20 and u add the one again, so u get $1.20 and when i multiplied it i get $76.896 and then i also converted it again like last time and got $76.00 and $8.96 and then i added again just like the first time and got $84.96 …….. so thats how i got the answer and im not sure cause i think i did it wrong 😛

  46. February 28th, 2015 at 1:15 pm      Reply barbarac2014 Says:

Question #1) The first thting you do is c=p(1+r). So you turn the % into a decimla witch is 0.08 then you add the one in the equation, cause the decimla is the (r) then you miltiply that by the $52 and not the 60. witch will equal $56.16. then is you subtract the original cost by the new cost the that will give you the total amount of tips you should leave the waiter, that is $3.56
and that it and by solving that you find the answer to second question.

2)The total bill would be $67.33 including tax and tip. The tax was 4.21. So I added the tip and the tax to 52.60 and got my total amount.

You should leave the waiter $10.52. I got this by multiplying it by 20 and then by 4. And thats how i got my answer.

I think its $10.52 because you start off adding $52.60 and $10.52. than i times $52.60 by 20 than you do all that than times it by $1.08 and the total i got was $68.70.

    I would leave a tip of $10.52 because i multiplied $52.60 into 20% or 0.20. and as i said i got $10.52.

The total amount of the bill will be $67.33 … I got this by doing the formula T=P*R. So i did change 8% into a decimal which is 0.08. then I did 0.08 times 52.60 and got 56.8080 so then I added the tip to it and then from there i rounded the answer to $67.33.

    52.60*0.08=4.208 or 42.08+1.00=43.08
    52.60*0.2=10.52+52.60=63.12
    43.08+63.12=($106.30)

    THAT’S IT!!!!! # FAZBEAR FAN OUT !!!!!

10.52 for the waiter if I did without tax it would be 20% in to.2 and then multipy which then I got 10.52 then to get the total tax I would find the tax but it with a whole number like 100 so 8 be mulipled with 52.60 is 420.80 muliyplyed it by the whole number and get 4.20 then and all the percent and you get 67.32 as your tax.

1.I would leave $10.52 for the waiter I know this because I multiplied 20 time 52.60 and you get 10.52 so that’s what the waiter gets. The total bill including tax and tip would be $67.33 I know this because I multiplied 8 times 52.60 and I got $4.21 then I added them all up and got 67.33 so that’s the total bill.

$10.52 should ve left as the tip. the total bill with tax and tip will be $84.66 because when i multipled $52.60 by 20% i got $10.52. then i movwd the decimal over 4 places. then after i multiplied $10.52 by 8% and i got $84.66.

I would leave a tip of $10.52 because when you multiply $52.60 and 0.2 you get $10.52.

the entire cost of dinner would be $67.33 because you must change 8% into 1.08 and multiply that by the cost which is 52.60 you will get $56.08 plus the tip all together would be $67.33

  76. March 3rd, 2015 at 8:13 am      Reply onterioj2014 Says:

first you do 52.60 and you times it by 20 and you get 10.52 so its 10.52

  77. March 3rd, 2015 at 6:25 pm      Reply makaylag2014 Says:

First you would want to make your percent to a decimal which is 0.08. Then you would use the formula p=52.60, r=0.08(1.08). Which will leave you to the cost equaling 56.81 dollars total. Then you would want to do 56.81 times .2 to get your tip which is 11.36

    I multiplied $52.60 twenty percent tip I got $10.56 then I multiplied $52.60 by eight percent tax I got $4.00 then I added $52.60 and $10.56 and $4.00 I got $67.16 total.

All together you would give the waiter $67.32. I got this by adding the price with the tip and with the tax.
