I got $3.75 for the wooden board.
I got that by multiplying 7 and .50 and got 3.50 and half of 50 is 25 so i added .25 to 3.50 and then i got $3.75

  2. October 20th, 2014 at 8:37 am      Reply savannahs2014 Says:

if i want to find out how much the board would cost i would first find the amout of wood which would be 7 1/2 feet . after that i would see how much a board per foot which would be 50cents. so two feet would be $1. two more feet would be another dollar. and another two would be another dollar. then there is the other foot so that would be just 50 cents. then the half foot i would divide 50 in half to get 25 cents so if i added it all up i would get $3.75

if I were to find out how much the boards cost I would find out how much boards there were which is 7 1/2 feet. than I would find how much a board was per foot which I believe would be 50 cents. so than that would mean 2 feet would equal 1$. and if you would keep on adding 2 more feet it would equal another 1$. and than there is another foot than it would be still just 50 cents. than the half board I would divide in half and I would get 25 cents and than my final answer after adding it all up would be $3.75 oops.

so, our problem for today is how much is the cost, in dollars of the wooden board? we have 7 1/2 long of a wooden board and the cost of it per foot is $0.50. you add those together and you get four dollars

  8. October 20th, 2014 at 4:08 pm      Reply BrandonM 2014 Says:

The answer is $4.00 because you have to multiply 0.50 and 7 and you get 3.50 then you have to add. 50 to get your answer. So the answer is $4.00

The cost of the wood is $3.75. I know this because I took .50 cents multiplied that by 7 (that equalled $3.50). Then I took .50 cents and divided it by 2 because I needed another half and .50 cents is for one whole. So when I divided I got .25 cents, then I added .25 cents to $3.50 and got $3.75!

  20. October 22nd, 2014 at 3:20 pm      Reply sydneyb2014 Says:

If it is 7 1/2 ft long, we can use 7.5 because they are the same thing. So when I divIde, it will make more sense. Here is the equation:
    7.5÷0.50=x
Now, I think, “how many 5s go into 75?” Because 0.50 can be simplified to 0.5 which, if both decimals move to the right, itd be 75÷5=x. This makes the problem easier, plus, keep in mind the .(point) goes at the end because we moved it in the number below. So, we all know that 15= × and that my answer is $15.

  21. October 22nd, 2014 at 3:23 pm      Reply shyannw2014 Says:

The cost of a wooden board that 7 1/2 is $3.50. This is because 50 times 7 is 350 so you just add a decimal point to make a reasonable number.

  23. October 22nd, 2014 at 4:34 pm      Reply julianac2014 Says:

If the board is 7 1/2 feet long, and the cost of the board is 50 cents per foot, then you would multiply 7.5, which is equal to
7 1/2, and multiply it by 0.50. The product is 3.75, so the cost is
    $3.75.

The answer to the question is, $3.75 this is how I did it. I know that each foot is fifty cents so every two feet equals a dollar times it by 3 then I still had a foot in a half left. One foot equals fifty cents a half of a foot equals twenty five cents added them together and it equaled seventy five cents.

  52. October 23rd, 2014 at 5:47 pm      Reply citlallym2014 Says:

The cost of the wooden block is three dollars and seventy five cents. To get my answer I used two methods.
The first method was multiplying the number of feet by how much each foot cost. (.50 times 7.) and got 3.50. Last I added the cost of the seven feet with the cost of half a foot (.25) (3.50 + .25) and got $3.75 as my final answer.
The second method I used was setting up a proportion. .50 cents over 1 foot and X over 7 1/2 feet. Next I used my heart to start solving. With my heart I got 1X = 3.75. last I divided 1X by 1 and 3.75 by 1. My final answer was $3.75 for 7 1/2 feet of wood.

The wooden board would cost $3.75. i got that answer by multiplying .50 cents by 7 feet and got $3.50 then add an extra 25 cents because of the 1\2 at the end.

  79. October 28th, 2014 at 11:53 am      Reply stephaneg2014 Says:

The answer is $4.00 because if you do 50*7 that will equal $3.50 then from the 7 1/2 you take the half so that will be 50 then you add $3.50+50=$4.00.

    answer:$4.00

The cost of the wood is $3.75. I know this because I took .50 cents multiplied that by 7 (that equalled $3.50). Then I took .50 cents and divided it by 2 because I needed another half and .50 cents is for one whole. So when I divided I got .25 cents, then I added .25 cents to $3.50 and got $3.75!

If I wanted to find out the price for each board, so if i wanted two, it would be $1.00. Once you add another four boards, The price adds up to $3.00. And since their is a board that a half, i would cut the 50 cents in half, and make it become 25 cents. Once i added that up, i would get $3.25.

You get 7 1/2 and tern it in to 7.5 and you montiply it by 0.50 and you will get the cost is $3.75

  83. October 31st, 2014 at 9:51 am      Reply seans2014 Says:

    I put 7.5 X 0.50=3.75
    Then i did 3.75 +0.25=4
    3.75 + 4= 7.75

  84. November 3rd, 2014 at 5:08 pm      Reply montserrathg2014 Says:

$3.75 because if you multiply 7 from 7 1/2 and the .50 cents its 3.50 and than you get half of 50 and its 25 so them you get $3.50 times 25 your answer is $3.75.

  85. November 4th, 2014 at 5:32 pm      Reply fanel2014 Says:

    okay… so 7 1/2= 7.5 and 0.4= .4lbs, 7.5 x 0.4 = 3.00 so it would cost $3.00
for the 7 1/2 ft long wood

the answer i got was 3.75 because i multiplied .50 with 7 and got 3.50 then divided them by .50 cents then there was one half left and i got .25 then i added them up and got 3.75

Put 7.5 times 0.50 which equals 3.75 then do 3.75 plus 0.25 which equals 4 lastly do 3.75 plus 4 and your answer is 7.75.

If mark gets a 7.5 foot plank, and each foot costs .5 then the 7 would equal 3.50 then the halve would be .25, adding 3.50 and .25 would equal 3.75

  90. November 11th, 2014 at 4:15 pm      Reply ashleight2014 Says:

if i would of had 7 1/2 ft. and i wanted to buy it i would add how much each foot cost. then i would add up 7 of them. so i would have gotten up to 3.50 but of course there would be tax and the tax would be 25 cent so if you add both of those together that would be 3.75.

When I solved this work the answer I got was 3.75 dollars . The way I solved this was with the 1/2 I changed it into 50 and then I multiplied 7.50 times 0.50 and that’s how I got my answer. I multiplied these two decimals because the question is asking how much each board cost so I think that each board costs 3.75 dollars .
