What I did was take 5393.25 and added it to its self and got 10786.50. Then divided that by 7.99 and got 1239.1 as my answer.

You take $5,393.25 and divide it by $7.99. 5,393.25/7.99 Since there are decimals you have to move them over to the right two times since there are only two decimal places, that would change the problem to $539,325 divided by 799. 539,325/799 Once you divided those two numbers you should have gotten 675, which is only the number of subscriptions Netflix got in July. Next all you have to do is multiply 675 by 2 because January is supposed to have double the subscriptions. After multiplying those two numbers you should get your final answer which is 1,350.

So i multiplied 5,393.25 by 2 and got an answer of 10,786.50 then after that i divided by 7.99 and got a result of 1,350 subscriptions.
I got 1,350 subscriptions as my answer because since in Reno Netfilx earned $5,393.25 during July and in January they are expected to double so I doubled $5,393.25 and got 10,786.50 then I divided that by the $7.99 that the Netflix subscription costs and i got 1,350
what i did was double the july sales and rounded the monthly subscription to 8.00 then i divided by 8 to check my work i divided the july sales by 8 so my answer is 1348.30 approximetly 1348.00

It seems you got a little mixed up with the subscription cost. Think of it like this:

Next I divided $10786.50 by $7.99 but before I did that I moved the decimal in 7.99 over two spaces to the right and did the same thing to 10786.50 then brought the decimal up.
